The mobile Fuseworks app is great for staying up to date when you’re out of the office, to rescue you from a boring meeting and to save on email overload! It also gives your wider organisation (people who don’t have logins to the main Fuseworks app) access to the news in real-time.

Before you start:
  • The mobile app is an optional add-on to your Fuseworks subscription.
  • If your organisation is a subscriber, everyone with an email address @yourorganisation.co.nz has access to the mobile app.
  • Users of the main Fuseworks app must share folders to the mobile app before you can access them.

Step 1 – Open the web browser on your phone and go to https://mobile.fuseworksmedia.com

  • The mobile app also works on tablets, laptops, or desktop computers – and it’s constantly up to date, so it’s a great way to help keep email boxes clear.

Step 2 – Type in your work email address and tap ‘Confirm’:

You just need to check your email inbox and tap the ‘Confirm your email address’ link, then you’ll be logged into the mobile app.

  • You need to open the email and tap on the link from your phone.

This is a one time process. You won’t have to log in every time you open the app.

  • Remember to bookmark the app for easy access (see FAQs below for more info).

Step 3 – On the ‘Settings’ page you can select folders to add to your menu. Choose folders you want to see news from by tapping the star symbol to the right of the name. The star will turn green when it’s selected.

Step 4 – Choose your homepage. This is the page that will open when you launch the mobile app. Do this by tapping the home symbol, it will turn green (you can only have one homepage folder).

Step 5 – You can also turn on and off notifications if you’re using Chrome, Firefox or the Samsung Browser on Android, or Chrome, Firefox on a desktop computer. Choose the folders you want to get notifications for by tapping the bell symbol, it will turn green when it’s selected.

  • Apple doesn’t support notifications through the web browser yet, but when they do we’ll add notifications for iPhones too.
  • Your homepage, starred folders and notifications can be changed at any time from the ‘Settings’ page.

Step 6 – You now have access to all of your starred folders from the left-hand menu.

  • Android users can swipe right to open the navigation. On iPhones, tap the little green menu symbol in the top left-hand corner.

Step 7 – Tap on a folder name to view the latest news in that folder. If you see an article of interest, tap on the headline to open it in your web browser.

To keep browsing, simply close the article tab, or use the back button on your phone.

  • Keep scrolling, more news will be loaded when you get to the bottom of the list.
FAQs:

Can I share articles I view via the Fuseworks app?
Yes… and no. In most cases the app will link to articles on publisher websites. You can share these in the same way you would any web page.

If the article is on a Fuseworks hosted page, the answer is a little more complicated. If it’s a media release you will be able to share it no problem.

If it’s ‘locked’ content (which includes print newspaper articles and broadcast digests) – the person you’re sharing the link with, needs to be within your organisation to be able to view it.

How do I bookmark the mobile app on my phone?
For iPhone users

Step 1 – Open the mobile app (https://mobile.fuseworksmedia.com) in your web browser.

Step 2 – Tap the middle share button.

Step 3 – Then select the ‘Add Bookmark’ button. Tap ‘Save’, and then the Fuseworks app will appear in your bookmarks whenever you open your web browser on your phone. Nice!

For Chrome users on Android
